Undergraduate Internship in Legal Studies

Students receive credit for a faculty-directed and approved internship. Registration requires completion of the Learning Agreement which the student obtains from the Career Center and which must be filled out and signed by the Career Center and the faculty sponsor prior to beginning internship work. Credit should correspond to actual time spent in work activities, e.g., 8-10 hours a week for 13 or 14 weeks to receive 3 units of credit; 1 or 2 credits for fewer hours. Students may not receivecredit for work done for pay but are encouraged to obtain written evaluations about such work for the student's academic adviser and and career placement file. Permission of instructor required.
